Luffy was seventeen in the whole pre-time-skip era. These arcs were less than a year in the One Piece World. Later, The crew got separated at Sabaody. When Luffy returned from the two-year training, he was now 19 years old. There is still no update on that age even though many arcs have passed. Even if it seems like a lot of time has passed between the arc, Luffy is still a teenager. Since the time skip, there have been fewer arcs than before the time skip that is why there is less change in his appearance.
Oda maintains that a few months have passed after the time skip. It was speculated that Luffy will reach age 20 when he reaches the Wano Country. Luffy and Usopp were both 17 years old pre-time skip and 19 years old post-time skip. Zoro and Sanji were 19 years old pre-time skip and 21 years old post-time skip. Naomi was 18 years old pre-time skip and 20 years old post-time skip. Chopper was 15 years old pre-time skip and 17 years old post-time skip.
At the start of the series, Luffy was 17, and then the 2 year time skip occurred. On the other hand, Nani is just I am a big fan of both Odacchi and Luffy. I have a question today for Odachi! When he was a kid, Monkey D. He will never fully betray Luffy. Usopp standout from Luffy due to his risk-aversion mentality, as the Straw Hat is well aware that he is vulnerable in battle. Usopp's birthday is April 1st, otherwise known as April Fool's Day.
This is extremely fitting considering his tendency to prank others and spin tall tales. After his sniping skills, Usopp's imagination is his strongest weapon and the Straw Hat Pirates definitely make use of it.
Just by looking at Sanji, his age is probably the hardest to guess out of all the Straw Hat Pirates the human ones at least. He goes for a more mature look in style and attitude making him appear older than he actually is. In the anime, Sanji is 21 years old after the time skip and his birthday is March 2nd. Chopper is another character who most fans probably couldn't guess his age if they tried.
Chopper is actually the youngest Straw Hat, and he is occasionally treated as Such. It is not unusual for Chopper to be parented by characters such as Robin and Zoro.
His birthday is December 24th, Christmas Eve which reflects the cold climate he comes from and the fact that he was originally a reindeer.
Chopper's small size and gentle appearance are an invitation for enemies to underestimate him, but he's a fierce fighter when he has to be. Nico Robin is the cool and collected Straw Hat with a love for "cute things". Her personality is hard to pin down until the later parts of One Piece , but she's a fan favorite for sure. When she joined the crew, Robin was quite a mysterious figure as she kept her distance from the crew.
This stemmed from her tragic backstory. Robin's birthday is February 6th, which makes her an Aquarius which are known for their honesty and imagination. This trait is best demonstrated when she sees something cute and can't help but get starry eyes and exclaim how cute something is. Franky is a giant. It's clear in the series but his height and scale seem to change for comedic and dramatic effect, making it difficult to tell how tall he really is. Franky's actual height is cm after the time skip, putting him up there with NBA players.
Before joining Luffy's ragtag crew of adventurers, Franky was an adult with a career and "crew" of his own. Consequently, it made sense that he was much older than the rest of the characters who formed the Straw Hats at the time. He appears tall, lanky, and fragile since he's all bones but it's difficult to tell what his real height is. He isn't willing to put his life on the line if Momonosuke isn't. Chances are Luffy would have done the same thing, two years prior, however, he still seems more mature now.
Luffy is no stranger to arguing with others or fighting them physically. Even after the time-skip, this has not changed. Luffy yells at Nami when he decides the crew to go a dangerous island. Prior to the time skip, chances are Luffy would reject the idea of forming an alliance with another pirate crew. So, when Trafalgar Water D. Law proposes that he and Luffy form an alliance, many fans were taken aback by this. He is going to need all the help he can get to become Pirate King.
Luffy has no qualms about expressing how feels about a person, ideology, or situation. When Luffy is given his own grand fleet, he gradually turns it down and the reason being is due to him needing his space. Moreover, he divulges to Jinbe that he doesn't want to be nor be perceives to be a hero.
Luffy's leadership skills as a captain has grown immensely. Luffy even breaks the mirror, which grants him access back to his ship.
